    Default Zerg building without creep ?

    Hello everyone !

    I have a suggetion about what happens to zerg buildings when they are no longer on creep.


    As a matter of fact :

    - Protoss building cease to work when pylons are down
    - Terran buildings slowly lose health with low HP (red zone)


    In order to balance it for the zerg, I think that if creep was to disapear beneath them, zerg building should either:

    - Losing health
    - Cease to function
    - Or even both

    It would make sense lorewise, as creep "feeds" zerg buildings and it would add some tension in zerg gameplay regarding how you should spend Queen's energy at some points in the game.

    Any thoughts ?

    Zerg buildings in Beta currently rapidly deterioriate in health (as fast or faster than Plague) when away from Creep. Spine and Spore Crawlers can uproot to prevent this from happening, as they are considered "units" when mobile.

    Right, and conventional Zerg buildings produce creep themselves.

    I haven't tested this, are you sure? I thought only hatcheries/worms produced creep.

    Worms produce creep but only if the nydus network has creep around. Hatcheries/Lairs/Hives and creep tumors all produce creep. The rest die out of it. (Still need someone to test extractors)

    Pretty sure extractors don't. I frequently make mine before the hatch is finished if I need gas quickly, and they neither lose hitpoints nor produce creep
    Thanks for confirming my thoughts on non-worm/hatchery buildings.

    Just tested it. Zerg buildings except hatchery/lair/hive and extractor do lose hp when not on creep.

    thats cool, now you can swoop in, kill the hatch, do an x-ray for tumors, do surgery and head out - letting the vital organs of the zerg hive-cluster bleed to death as the creep crumbles...
    I am an enthusiast of good strategy games, sc2Esports and rollplay, although i dont really play anything atm.

    Well the Protoss could do that, the other two wouldn't stand a chance of it working (their mobile detectors are too vulnerable), and even if it did, creep hangs around for a bit before disappearing.

    Zerg are known for expanding early and having multiple hatcheries, there's more priority in killing their tech buildings off the bat to prevent them from making counter units that could harass or kill your army.
