Spine crawlers deal extra damage to armored targets. There are plenty of options available. You can get spine crawlers and tech to mutas faster. You could play the roach and just grab some hydras a bit in to deal with mutas. And on more open maps im thinking zerglings will be better than roaches.

I think roaches are a strong ZvZ unit, but I think there are a lot of variations mostly depending on the map.

There is one problem, even if you manage to get Muta and You need a lot of Mutas to kill Roaches, Corruptors > Mutas, so Roaches/Corruptors will pwn everything except other Roaches/Corruptors combo...So yeah they need to pump up Hydras dmg vs armored....

The Roach/Corruptor combo isn't supreme, if you do attack another Zerg player there's nothing preventing him from laying fields of Banelings around his base, two or three of those will kill a Roach, and since they have AoE...

I dont understand your point... Banelings will kill Roaches? Well it is easier to Micro Roaches then Banelings, since Roach 3-shot Baneling...also what will you do vs Corruptors? They will fly around and "kill" your Overlords...And if Banelings really are counter for Roaches then why do we even discuss this???

If you go mutas quickly you'll have a tech advantage, and it will take awhile for someone to start pumping out corruptors. Also, there is no reason you cant go mutas + corrupters (or hydras for less gas).

Except that you need 2 different buildings??? and also ZvZ always was Micro intensive game, with low economy, if that continues in SC2, You just cant go both....You wont have enough gas nor larvae for them....And you dont need to pump them, but Corruptors got 200 Hp and are armored, by the time he got Mutas you will have Corruptors and even if there is more Mutas, Corruptors will win cuz of Corruption...Also there is one thing, when you got Corruptors, you also got Infestor....With Burrow, and Corruptors killing every Overseer around they can wreak havoc over opponents base with Disease + Infested Marines(Also i hope to see Fungal Infestation back, or similar ability )...

Eh I just think that if someone was going roaches and you pulled mutas out quickly you could easily turn an advantage before corrupters were out.

You didn't exaclt read my statement properly did you, Banelings can be used in a minefield style setup, ie, popping up in the middle of an attack. They're a soft counter of sorts, not a hard one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Corrutors need 'only' Lairs don't they?

No. Corruptors come from the Infestor Pit.

Oh, right, Infestor Pit is a requirement so they put it in as a foot-note (Corruptor), or not at all (Infestor Pit), [sarcasm]brilliant, so easy to figure out.[/sarcasm]
