    it is clear that siege mode is the one prefered...
    Preferred to do what? If you're fighting Thors or Ultralisks, you'll do better in Tank form (more damage over time). Not that they'll last long against either, but if they've got some meatshields in the way, it would be of some help.

    IF you are fightin Thors and Ultras you will want to hit them with 60 dmg from 13 range,and if there is no meatshield then you unsiege them...Before thors engage they will be hit 2-3 times,and if you use Tank mode your range is 7 so is the Thors and they deal and pretty much the tanks are screwed...But if you have meatshileld so will the enemy,so once again siege mode will splash and range will be needed....

    No Arthas, Tank Mode is better against Ultralisks. The 60 splash damage is wasted on a large unit with high hp. People are too used to SC1 tank mechanics, they fail to see how siege tanks role has changed so much.

    Exactly, with speed that Ultras has, you could shoot once until they come close to you. People don't understand that new Siege Tanks are stronger, not weaker, they have better damage output, their attack speed is a lot faster than in SC1, but they cost more so that is why they are not massable and being build that way as in SC1.

    Ok,if you say so,you keep using your tanks in mobile form and will stick to siege mode,And if anyone can give a replay where Tanks are used in Tank mode and been effective in a pro vs pro match go a head...,,,I personnaly have watched all posted on youtube pro vs pro and haven't seen anything like that,i don't know why you keep stating that tank mode is as good as siege mode...

    And remember that siege mode has a fairly quick attack so the ultras with speed won't get near them and take only one shot ...

    Pro? Lol there aren't any pros in SC2 yet. The reason you don't see it because people are still stuck with the mentality that Siege mode is the only useful mode like in SC1. The beta players are overrun with StarCraft 1 players. I believe the best SC2 players and future pros haven't even played the game yet.

    Do you know that long before they start using mass Vessels in SC1 vs Ultra/Ling, that they were using Marines/Firebats/Tanks that are not in Siege Mode, cause they were mobile, didn't kill their own units and were all-around more effective. In Siege mode Tank is doing 60 damage in SC2, and when is in Tank Mode, it is doing 15+10 vs. armored, but it attacks at least 3 times faster. Do the math and see what is better by yourself, 60 or 3x25=75 damage...

    Those in the platinum league or something like that,,,,, Players like-david kim,KHB,cowgoomoo,artosis etc...

    Mentallity? pff nobody cares about that,people see what is effective and how is effective,that's that...

    It's approximately 1.25 faster. For the ol' slowpoke Tank that's a good boost.
    "Normal" - isn't viable classification. It wasn't made by Blizzard. Crucio shoots ~1.5 faster.
    And don't forget about +1 to range. Arclite had range of 12.

    And Crucio cripples units of ALL sizes equally. HAI THER for Lings, Zealots, Marines...

    You guys aren't watching the same games I am. In the last week, Terrans are increasingly using tanks v Zerg and Protoss, even against armies with moderate immortal counts. See Artosis vs Garimto for an example.
