Thread: Free MMORPG

    Default Free MMORPG

    So anyone plays free MMORPG?

I'm trying to replace WoW with another MMO that doesn't have a monthly fee while I wait for SC2. I stopped playing a while ago but I kinda feel like playing a mmo again. Any suggestions? Right now I'm thinking about Runes of Magic, Grenado Espada, Mabinogi or Allods. Runescape is definitely out of the question btw.

Try Fiesta. Or Lunia. Google them. Lunia is great, and fiesta is pretty good.

So I tried Runes of magic, Grenado Espada, mabinogi and Allods and I also check your suggestions but didn't tried them yet. Runes of magic and Allods are pretty good. Grenado Espada is terrible but the art style is cool. Mabinogi is decent but I can't see myself playing too much. Atlantica is turn based and I'm more looking for an action RPG than turn based one. Never been a fan of turn based RPG except the big classics (Final fantays, chrono, etc). I'm not a fan of the art style of Fiesta but it looks good. Lunia will be the next one I'll try though.

Go play Dungeons and Dragons Online.

It was pay to play (monthly subscription) but they've removed that to go with the F2P model and microtransactions. There's an extremely large amount of content available to F2P players. The quality of the game far surpasses most of the generic F2P games.

The combat system isn't just a matter of press 1, press 2, press 3, it's a little more twitch based, so click to swing, make sure you're facing the right way etc. The dungeons are awesome, and it highly promotes party playstyle. The proper classes put together make the best team. If you're gonna check out youtube video's or anything, look for something done on a higher quality setting. The game is beautiful, yet for some reason, all of their PR / Marketting video's look like the game was set to record on lowest video settings lol.

Odds are you'll find out that you'll enjoy the game a lot and it won't be just a holdover for SC2, it'll probably be something you invest some time (and maybe even some cash for a VIP account or microtransactions).

This isnt exactly a free MMORPG but this is the funnest free online multiplyer game ull ever play:

    Starport: Galactic Empires.

Its even part rts with real-time minerals n base defense across multiple words that u actually FLY around in/to. Unlike boring games like "0game" which r just browser games.

Most free mmorpgs are very very grindy if not all of them. I've played many 20 free mmorpgs and I think the best one so far was Runes of Magic. I would definitely give it a try its the closet thing to a retail MMORPG but its entirely free.

Hmmm sounds cool. Yeah I didn't really like Ogame either. I got banned for 30 years because I said to a guy that he was a fag for destroying my fleet -.-

So is this just a cash saving tactic SB? I guess if I was going to play any MMO right now I'd play WoW again because I just don't see the quality anywhere else. I really wish I could play FFXI again, but the wait to get into a party is horrendous and I just can't be bothered to sit around unable to do anything while I look for people to play with. Maybe I'll get into the FFXIV beta. That would be nice.
