    To make them not that massable as they were, if we take a look at this, unit with those stats, that cost 75/25 and requires building that doesn't cost gas, is pretty strong.
    But they're not that strong. They have short range, so large groups of them simply don't work. And they're easily dealt with at Tier 1 by any of the opposing strong Tier 1 units. They're very slow units as well.

    Oh and they can't attack air.

    To make them useful at Tier 2, you need at least 2 upgrades if not three: burrow and burrowed movement. Without these, they quickly become obsolete.

    And they still can't attack air.

    Yes, I agree with everything except for the bold part, since if you look it that way, mass Zealots shouldn't work at all. Yes, they have small range, but that doesn't mean that they don't work in large groups. In fact, I have only see them work in large groups.

    Yeah all those replays between Cowgomoo and Oversky,pretty much the 40+ roaches decided the tide of the battle,And i thought they were indeed OP but actually that's exacly what the zerg needs,strong tank with a fairly good damage,And i was suprised by the way the marauders took out so many roaches,And they were something like 2-3 times less then roaches,Roaches are good as they are now...

    Don't work compared to Hydralisks. They have longer range, so more of them can be attacking a target at the same time.

    Melee units are deliberately overpowered for their cost compared to ranged units, because only so many of them can be attacking at any one time. You can't give a unit the damage output of a Zergling and have it be a ranged attacker; they'd demolish everything in their path.

    The reason AoE is really bad for Zerglings (besides their low HP) is that most of the ones hit never got the chance to actually do anything. At least a Hydralisk that gets Psi Stormed probably fired a few spines at something before succumbing.
