I doubt Protoss have any hearts. They didn't evolve on Earth and don't have any common ancestor with any animal life on Earth.![]()

They do have blood though, and something has to pump it. If your going to apply the rules of them being totally alien then they shouldn't even be humanoid.

If they have multiple hearts AND their blood is blueish, would it make sense for them to have an open circulatory system with hemolymph instead of blood?

According to wikipedia (in the page about Hemolymph):If it would happend that the Protoss don't need oxygen, maybe it could be.This "open" system might appear to be inefficient compared to closed circulatory systems like those possessed by mammals, but the two have very different demands being placed on them. In vertebrates, the circulatory system is responsible for transporting oxygen to all the tissues and removing carbon dioxide from them. It is this requirement that establishes the level of performance demanded of the system. The efficiency of the vertebrate system is far greater than is needed for transporting nutrients, hormones, and so on, whereas in insects, exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide occurs in the tracheal system.

Protoss do need oxygen, in the part of Twilight when Zamara was in the escape pod she mentioned she had only enough oxygen for 10 hours (days?)

Protoss seem like a more fragile race to me on whole. If we had a naked fight between a Marine and Zealot, I'm not sure the Zealot would win.(No shields, no armor, no weapons)
But I'm a bit lacking in my lore so forgive me if that's been addressed somewhere.

Plants needs oxygen. It's just that they can make it themselves. Many plants have varying strategies do deal with their night-time oxygen needs. Also, roots need oxygen; I don't recall if plants can transfer oxygen within themselves over long distances like that.
