They use co2 and minerals and convert them to oxygen and organic stuff. They release a lot of oxygen, thankfully

Do the Protoss do something like that? Supposing they take minerals from the water, they could, but then they would need co2, and it's told that they take whatever little moisture they need from the air, so they don't seem to need much of anything, nor take enough matter to actually build their own body, which is just plain strange.

Protoss and humans would be the perfect symbiosis , neither would ever run out of co2/oxygen as long as they're converting the same amounts.

And what about the Zerg? Cannot some strains survive in deep space? Even the Mutalisks are said to be able to fight "in a vacuum". That means deep space, so: no oxygen, no pressure problems, and that wings...
