I don't like the new battle cruiser's attack. It should fire volleys. I've never seen a battlecruiser fire its guns one at a time, it doesn't make sense from a gunnery point of view.

I cant put my finger on it, but there has been a definite improvement since the multi upgrade "blow up toy" version BC of some months back. The one Triceron posted is pretty sweet, but almost looks like a "Borg" BC or something

Um....
Here and Here.....
I've had the first one as my desktop background for awhile now.....
How is this new info? They can't use it anyways. The Hyperion is a different class than the new battle cruiser being constructed for the Dominion.
Im glad that they fixed the attachment on the wings now though.

I'm actually not a fan of the new Battlecruiser, either in-game or pre-rendered cinematic versions. The original was much more iconic because, I think, it was comparatively simple in design. In the cinematics, the neck of the thing was broken up into discernible sections, and the fore was much smoother and less cluttered. The in-game render in SC2 reminds me too much of the bulkiness and unwieldiness of the Thor.
I think the parts that are bothering me are the conning tower over the engines, and the giant assembly surrounding this gaping hole that represents the yamato cannon. I think it could use some a re-touch to unify the assembly of elements.
That said... the picture Triceron showed is an absolute, sexy beast of a machine. It reminds me too much of a vessel from The Matrix because of the profusion of conduits and small parts, along with the all the black and gun metal grey... but it's sexy nonetheless. I salivated over that for about two minutes straight.![]()

The Hyperion is special however. It could be either heavily modified or upgraded. If the Terran government can build something like Coruscant in four years from a desert planet, than a rebel group which might have support can definitely upgrade a ship drastically in four years. They might bring back old Behemoth classes in the game.Originally Posted by Visions of Khas

That's what I was thinking. It possesses a cobbled-together feel to it, which would be suitable for the Hyperion.

It's the Hyperion from the main menu of the SC2 login screen.
