I still hold a glimmer of hope that game will one day be released in some form or another. Wouldnt be surprised if Nova makes a cameo in SC 2...I heard something of that months ago. Half-Life 2: Episode 2 ending. I shed actual tears.
As for frightening, Dead Space has nothing (except fancier graphics) on System Shock 2 and They Hunger.
