Thread: Post-Patch Cache Folder

  1. #1

    Default Post-Patch Cache Folder

Can somebody upload their post-patch cache folder?

I haven't been able to watch any post-patch replays because I get the "temp files missing" error. I'm assuming I need more up to date cache files (maps etc).

The patch itself has blocked us out of the game...

No more free replays for us. So for now my replay counter is set and I guess it will continue like this untill I either get beta or the game. Else, I won't watch that many replays when I can play the game.

    Not true.

SC2 Replay Installer Tool patches the client so you can "sign in as guest," which basically lets you watch replays without signing into Battle.net (bypassing the login menu).

The only problems I have with the new patch so far are as stated above - new replays give me a "temp files missing" error. Old replays just ask me if I want to reload the game in the previous version in order to watch them.

What I meant was that Blizzard intended to do so, and they will do the same about any tool made by someone else.

This tool from gamereplays was made by someone else than Blizzard, so it was just about time to get it patched.

I realy don't see the problem on watching replays (not online so it didn't affected the servers), but if Blizzard closed them it means they will not be friendly with people trying to open them back up.

Well, at least for now you can easily watch replays using the tool found at gamereplays

    I'm using lazylauncher2.0

A ~800KB launcher that requires zero modification and no installation whatsoever... one just needs to set it up as a default executive for .sc2replay files and double-clicking one starts it up immediately, hassle-free.

    Still same problem for me.

^ then, either your cache is incomplete or, if you're getting the 'desync' error, you've been messing with your .sc2data files whilst trying out custom ai scripts. You can rectify the first issue by downloading an updated cache, and the second by simply reinstalling the client and backing up necessary files before applying the modified ones.

Is my post on target, or have I completely missed the point?

No desync errors (I already found out how to fix those) and no missing maps. I'll just try a reinstall sometime.
