I'm thinking the Sentry's Gaurdian Sheild could be adapted into a temporary AoE shield booster instead of just decreasing ranged damage taken.

Short of an autocast shield regen, any type of shield regen would be useless in the game right now. The out of combat regen is just that good.

Some ideas
1. Mass Wormhole (like Wormhole Transit+Mass Recall: the mothership teleports itself AND all friendly units nearby to a friendly completed protoss building....cost 100-125
2. 'Reverse' Temporal Rift, units in the area move and attack faster
3. Spatial Rift... units in the area have either Decreased or Increased Range on attacks. (increased range should probably not affect Melee units)
4. Overshield.... all Shields affected only take 1/2 damage when attacked, the other 1/2 of the damage is taken by the 'overshield' which has X number of Shield points. (X should probably be fairly high ~1000-2500 depending on cost+balance)
5. Argus Link... or some version of it....Non-Massive, Non-Building Casters in the AoE will regain 5 energy/sec for 20 sec.
