We need knew sounds for zerg now. The old Zergling noises were epic compared to these.

The first game had such a nice and distinct sound-scape. It was easy to tell what unit was doing what. Every attack and ability had a distinct sound attached to it, from the Carrier's Interceptors swarming out of its hull to Siege Tanks getting ready to shell your workers from a cliff.
Ten years later, lend an ear to StarCraft II. With all the advancements in audio, and Blizzard's experience making games - this is what we get? Farting, chirping Zerglings? Nearly every unit sound and voice seems very lackluster, and this seems to be a new trend with Blizzard games.
Let's hope many of the sounds being used are placeholders, because it's sad that a game a decade old made by the same company outshines its sequel in terms of sound and enthusiasm.

I think the Sentry's voice once belonged to a Zerg unit.

They could have done this, and just touch them up a bit. They should have done this, or made the new sounds with the old ones in mind. The way it is now, it seems like the people behind the unit voices and sound effects never even played the first game. Seems like the sound crew lost the filters they used when making the original Protoss, too.

For the record, here's a reposting of a bunch more unit sounds.
