At least one player has lived the dream.
No matter what you may say about the skill level of the players involved, a Planetary Fortress rush happened in a real game, and that is epic win <3.

lol amazing...
"Each thought, word, deed, life was a mere drop in the vast ocean of time, constantly merging and separating to merge again. All the knowledge she held was precious; every memory, every sound, scent, sensation, voice, word, thought. All were vital to her people."

The slow unfurling of the turret must have been nightmarish for the poor Protoss player. Unabashed optimism and cockiness were slowly subsumed by gnawing suspicion, then finally disbelief and terror.
I wish there were a cam on the Protoss player's desktop. =D
Aaand sold.
Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

That guy has massive balls to try that strategy. Props to him.
However, the video cut off before the replay was over.
Terran minerals were < 100 when the replay cut off.
The planetary fortress was down to about 60% of max HP.
Only two SCVs were mining to a CC with suboptimal placement.
Keep in mind, a planetary fortress cannot lift off. So he could
not reposition the CC at that point.
If that weren't bad enough, if you look at the mini-map, you'll
see that the 'toss player had an expansion. Meaning that he
can easily rebuild while the Terran player has gradually mine
before he can build a proper CC and really do some damage.
I wouldn't count the Terran out, because, if you'll notice, he
lifted his barracks to scout the Protoss' natural expansion.
So technically, it's still anyone's game.
But if I had to bet money on it, I'd bet on the Protoss.

It was only a matter of time, but it's crazy to see someone actually pull it off finally.

I'm not amused, With the CC flight speed, distance between bases, and Toss player going tech, T got lucky. More zeals would have raped this build.
