if voidrays dont beat carriers cost for cost, tis broken. simply put.

VR's are the hard counter. support with sentrys guardian shield & HT's & MS as available. even stalkers if you can blink em up under to focus fire effectively

and when plowing so much money into huge fleets, dont forget upgrades.

Before they could 'kill' it the mothership will cast at least one vortex and that is enough...

I'm actually impressed by the fact that carriers are so easy to outproduce with cronoboost.
