hey guys, i was up the other night and took a break from all the 3 gates, etc builds and reapers, etc out there and decided to come up with a hillariously fun build (only if u pull it off :P) i call this build the "we're boned build" since...well...u'll see:
8 pylon
10 gateway
12 pylon
13 assimilator
13 core
14 twilight
15 (or 16, the time i used it i did it on 16) dark shrine
and start pumping some DT's
of course u should scout his base after u build the gateway to make sure he hasnt walled up or is doing a funky build. if he has walled up, try to get some warp prisms to DT drop. but basically this build is called we're boned since u can screw up in many ways:
1. he scouts u, you're boned, switch strats
2. you dont wall in correctly (ESSENTIAL) and cannot hold off his rushes, you're boned
3. he didnt scout u, didnt see ur base, and u stopped his attacks but he decided to build detectors anyways, ur boned.
yes, its high risk to have those ninja DTs, obviously u build a second gateway at one point, and try to hold out as much as u can for the DTs, once a few DTs are build, ninja em in the opponents base, wreck his econ, and while hes managing that, go for some void rays so that u can back door him for the finish if he isnt already finished as it is.
now i have tried this build, and it actually worked against a terrain player. keep in mind most people unless they scout u these days so far havent gone for early detection which is why this is viable for now. which is why it is essential the scout DOES not see what you are doing and that u are fast enough to finish before they get observer, overlord or comsat into ur base, which chronus this is very possible and hillariously fun to see the looks (or the text messages back from opponent) when this works
again, this isnt a serious build, mainly just for fun, now go out and get boned!![]()
