Thread: StarCraft 2 Beta Graphics Comparison

Default StarCraft 2 Beta Graphics Comparison

So I figured a lot of you with lower end computers would want to see how StarCraft 2 looks on the lower settings.

    Ultra Settings (Everything Maxed)

    High Settings

    Medium Settings

    Low Settings (Lowest Settings)

Note: These were all taken at 1680x1050. If you use a lower resolution you will notice more jaggies on the edges of models.

Nice, thanks for this. Hoping when I decide on what new computer to get I'll be able to run it on high settings.

I average 30fps at Ultra Settings on my Radeon 4850, which only cost me like 120 bucks at the time.

low settings makes me lol for some reason, it all seems cartoony

at medium in-game, all the models themselves look very nice already. it's just the ground texture and explosions/other effects that really change when u move beyond medium.

Yeah, looks like the biggest difference is between medium and low - which is good, because my computer is probably optimal at medium settings.

I'd like to see what the game looks like in motion on medium settings, though.

Keep in mind that when changing the overall quality setting it doesn't change the texture setting so for all of them except low the texture setting was set to "Ultra" which it says requires 1GB of memory on your video card. I can take one at "Medium" with the texture setting at medium and post it if you'd like.

    That would be much appreciated.

My graphics card only has 256 mb of memory (Geforce Go 7600).

    Ultra Settings (Ultra Textures)

    High Settings (High Textures)
