Default Getting A PC for Starcraft II

Hey guys, wondering what's a good PC to buy for Starcraft II to run on maximum settings.

I can't remember if Newegg was the place that lets you build your own PC right on the website or not but I was wondering about this computer to buy.

If your going for a pre built off of Newegg then go with Ibuypower or Cyberpowerpc. They have some decent pc's for about the same as the one above costs. Ordering all the parts and building your computer yourself would be the cheaper/performance route(there are exceptions). Newegg has some pretty good deals and is probably the top place to get all your parts from.

Also from what I've read and seen the Processor isn't nearly as important as the graphics card is. I'm personally going with the ATI 5770. The above pc has integrated graphics and they're somewhat outdated also.

So I have a question, I plan on getting the following computah:

    Intel i7 920 2.66 Ghz
    2 gb x2 DDR3 1060
GTX 275 video card 893 mb

Would that run SC2 at max settings ?

There's a thread for this in Off Topic FYI. This is going to end up locked.

PC noobs. That is a SUPER COMPUTER. You don't need that computer to run SC2 at max settings. You can design nuclear missiles on that thing and not worry about it being slow.

I have a 2 year old core 2 duo, 2.3ghz 8800gtx that runs SC2 at max settings with no problem.

Unfortunately that will not run the game on max
As per this if this is "True to the words"
You will need a 1GB card to load all the textures properly and avoid texture thrashing.
This is ALL ASSUMING THAT that highlight text is TRUE.

Hmm, interesting. Still you're talking about 60fps vs 50fps methinks.

I recommend to not count on that "menu". All of games known never did such thing and StarCraft 2 should not be an exception since it's engine is not brand new.
A HD 4870 with 512MB will max the shit out of the game...pff
while a GT220 with 1GB will have problems with running the game at high settings at 1920x1200 and I am talking about not even 10FPS!

Are you sure about that? My GTX 250 runs at max settings, and the fan doesn't even kick into high speed. A GT 220 probably would run it at max settings too.
