Thread: Videocard for ultra specs

  1. #1

    Default Videocard for ultra specs

I've just played a few beta games but it seems my ol' nvidia 8600gt doesn't keep up with the graphics I would love to see.. yes I want the high-end graphics

I decided buying a new one as quickly as I can, but don't know which is the cheapest card around that supports 1600x32bit at ultra.
Anyone has experience with these settings and what card are you running?

This will probably get moved to off topic since it's a PC building question, but in meantime you should be able to get there with this

It's not the newest model but you don't need direct x 11 support anyway. Don't underestimate the importance of your processor either. Xyvik and Spychi are the guys for this kind of info as well, they are pros at configuring systems, so once they find this thread you'll get real solid answers.

Post in the PC builders thread too.

I have a nvidia 295 GTX and it runs everything on Ultra like a charm with no fps lag whatsoever. Your processor also ties in with this as even though you buy a high end graphics card it can be bottle necked by a slow processor. A card that should be able to run this game on ultra should be a 260 GTX which is a great card for its cost but right now ati is the way to go in terms of performance and cost efficiency.

Can anyone post the system spec's that are needed to run the game at max? I would search myself... but my internet is refusing to let me go on any other site besides Sc:L for the moment. :/

    Back with all gun's blazing.

It's going to be tough to determine that Zabimaru. People are having trouble with the i7 series of processors and they shouldn't have an issue. What should run it and what will run it will be in flux for a while.

Glad to hear it's going good for you iaN, I guess the i7 is causing some problems. You've really got that thing overclocked don't ya? Isn't it's normal speed 2.3 or something?
