I'm referring specifically to damage. Consider the Viking is attacking a Colossus. Will it be advantageous to attack in one mode over the other or does it not matter?

1) I can't answer that. I have not faced a terran who used it. To be honest, it feels like a very gimmicky thing. It does not detect cloaked..and I may as well put a turret there..
2) I haven't been paying too much attention. It can be done on the bunker from what I remember. Unload the units and click on it, I believe you get a certain % back.
3) They will split up. It's like WC3's unit AI.
4) I haven't used the viking enough. But it feels like it is a "jack of all trades" unit. The ground or air attack is nothing too special. It's strength is it's versatility. The upgrades at the factory tech lab do improve it's attacks...
I can't remember if they are specific to it's ground/air.
From what I recall, the amory is much like the SC1 armory but with some tech upgrades. I would imagine the upgrades are seperate for balance. Like the WC3 Hippogryph.. it can dismount/mount archers..having an upgrade that boosts both attacks seems unfair.
Uhh.. I don't think it can attack ground while in flight mode...I remember sending a medi vac group of 30 marines with an escort of 4 vikings...I remember I had to toggle them into ground mode to support my marines fighting the ground units..I'm referring specifically to damage. Consider the Viking is attacking a Colossus. Will it be advantageous to attack in one mode over the other or does it not matter?

Vikings are insanely effective, they're great.
They're Strong vs Battlecruisers, Collosi, and something else
Ground form there's no strengths or weaknesses posted, or they are just jack of all trades maybe

Just had a game where the only units seen on both sides were
Battle Cruisers, Carriers, Thors, A mothership, Vikings (Shitloads of vikings).
I had the vikings and thors. I can tell you...the thor is very ineffective vs ground and his range is shit. He can't even outrange a photon cannon.
I think the Thor has a weakness versus ground damage or explosion damage. Siege tanks raped my thors. I think if he does not have enough and if I am guessing correctly..the Vikings air attack missiles would do more damage + explosion...raping the thor =D. The thor is an incredible waste of resources against T1/T2 units. His barrage skill is 600 Damage over 6 seconds with a cost of 6 energy. I only see using that versus Capital air and buildings.

Listening to the ripped music, I notice some is more lively while some is more slow, at least in the Terran's case. Is there battle-specific music like in some other RTS? Like, if nothing's going on, is the music calmer and more slow-paced, and when a battle starts it gets more fast-paced and energetic?
Also, has there been anything interesting on the maps you've played that we haven't seen before? Doodads, neutral units like the Xel'naga tower, critters, tilesets? Does terran affect the appearance of some units like it did in the orignal StarCraft?

Question: what are the little tabs above the UI? they show up randomly like 10 seconds into a game and seem to have no affect (they are right up above where your unit group shows)
I can't tell what the image on each is from the streams i've watched sooooo could someone in beta please let me know what those are (and where is the idle worker tab)
thanks
