I mean seriously, its 7:30 EST and still no e-mail. If I don't get in early with the use of a Blizzcon key, what was the point? I know it guarantees me a spot, but those getting in via an opt-in before me is a bit unfair no?

I don't think you can apply the usual rules of "fairness" to this process. You'll get in for sure, at some point. I don't think they ever guaranteed when. Opt ins are necessary for the beta because blizzard gets to decide which hardware setups get tested. All the people who are guaranteed keys just add to the stress portion, which usually comes at a later time.

There's no way to know for sure, but key holders may not get into beta for days or weeks, until they need info on server loads and what not. While I think that's unlikely it is possible.

If I remember correctly, Blizzcon attendees that had Blizzcon keys were guaranteed into the first wave. That is what I thought, guess I'm wrong. I'm so used to getting screwed over, its nothing new. I expect the worse.
