If your video settings you should be able to see your maximum Resolution.
Right Click Desktop
Properties
Settings Tab
The slider bar should show you your max res. Mines is 1440x900

I didn't see anything specifically in the FAQ addressing downloading the Beta Client on multiple platforms but it makes reasonable sense that once you enter the code in to your Bnet account, it should be available for download like any other Blizz game is.

As for sharing; no way in hell I'd let anyone have access to my Blizzard collection, WoW accounts and upcoming SC2 beta Lolol.
Authenticators also come into play seeing as it will be incorporated into SC2. I still have mine from Blizzcon.
