I'm not saying what Blizzard did was great, but it's the truth. Unless you are one of the contest winners or went to Blizzcon, you can forget getting into beta for a quite while if there's no downloader on your battle.net account page.

ok i understand your theory.

My theory is that blizz just let a few opt-ppl in to check how it goes with everything, servers etc..
And soon they will start the real first wave of invites, like within hours.

I base this on the fact that blizzard posted on the sc2 forum that they will send out mails to NA and EU at the same time, and told us to be patient, after the opt guys started downloading.

And the fact that only around 400-500ppl are online at new Bnet, its hard to belive that those ppl are going to play for like a month untill the next wave comes.

And I like facts. Don't get me wrong, I have my fingers crossed for that theory but let's accept it, the fact that even people who never played SC1 randomly got chosen via opt-in severes that theory.

Also gaming life has taught me a very critical lesson; the more optimistic you are, the worse you will fall down on the concrete ground when Murphy's Law slams you right on the face. Hoping is good, but if you make yourself get into a dream so much, you'll feel devastated when you hopefully get to your computer to see a whopping ''0'' in your e-mail folder tomorrow.

The download is still pretty slow for opt ins, you guys might have to wait awhile.
