We have all heard that. We were talking about a map with no space platform just space.
Btw its kind of funny that marines where full fledged pressurized space suits since everywhere they fight has at a reasonably similar atmosphere. Its like "look an astronaut with guns" "oh but the space helicopter has air to fly through".

Banshees in space is still more credible than the entire Zerg air force.

Copy/paste from another thread:
Chemical gas propulsion? Some space platforms are sometimes built on asteroids, while others, the type we mainly saw in SC1, like the Tarsonian orbital platforms, might just be chunks of metal, though that's still up for debate IMO because all space platforms have minerals/vespene and there's usually a doodad with a rock sticking through the metal. Maybe the asteroid matter gets all used up for some purpose (perhaps creating the metal on which the platform is made out of).
I'd have to guess that space platforms have an atmosphere because:
A) The terrain feature in SC1 called "rusty pit". Rust can only happen in presence of oxygen & moisture. Practically every other feature on this tileset is rusty as well. In fact, in SC2, every single thing is so damn rusty I have to assume that there is too much oxygen/moisture.
B) The random shops & stuff on the tileset. A blizz map of the month told us that these platforms are also used for habitation, which might explain why Blizzard made those weird stalls/signs to begin with.
Maybe gravity accelerators are used to keep atmosphere by the platform?

If it is total vacuum/only space, then banshees would have no problem flying around. They don't need their fans for lift, since they would just float, and they use small thrusters to move around anyway (seeing as how their fans are fixed) so they can still get around.

Maybe a map where all (or certain) units are cliff jumpers because of the low gravity?
Should be a pretty neat concept having stuff like marauders and marines jumping cliffs... but only for a certain mission. It could be balanced because since the gravity is so low, they wouldnt just hop quickly up the cliffs, but would instead go up slowly... then down slowly increasing the time they can be fired at by units above the cliffs.
Maybe your units cannot jump that mission, but theirs can forcing you to defend everywhere all at once...
As for the banshee, they could do a kind of osprey vehicle that can use either a rocket booster (getting around quickly) or its propellers (for hovering in place and annihilating stuff)?
Think like a dropship, but with propellers + boosters instead of just boosters.

And how about Zerg? do mutalisks/guardians fart chemical gas to travel in space or something?
Just kidding, Lol.
Just in case, I've made something that goes along those lines: the 5th mission on a crappy campaign for SC1 in which you must use the protoss fleet to defeat the Zerg swarm in the space... I'm planing to re-make it for SC2 and add stuff such as planet purification. I would need voice acting though. Since I made it quite long ago I'll also rewrite the dialogues to a more mature way.
