    Default Low Gravity

I woke up this morning with a cool idea for the single player campaign. I figured that missions are always taking place on space platforms, moons, etc, and I thought it would be cool for Blizz to maybe have some sort of gravity effects going on. For example, on a low gravity space platform, maybe have marines take larger steps (e.g. Neil Armstrong on the moon), and when things explode the bits float out into space.

I realize that it might be a bit late to implement this for Wings of Liberty, you guys have any thoughts on it though?

I think this would be pretty cool.

Just because space platforms have some gravity doesn't mean that they have 9.8 m/s/s acceleration.

They've said single player will have more physics based animations, it's quite possible that this is already in the game.

    And if it isn't, well:

    Can the map editor...?

    Yes, it can.

You guys are thinking too small. In low gravity, ground units should be able to leap giant gaps! GTG attacks should hit air! Reapers should have a 50/50 chance of floating off into space!

Just on the subject Im really hoping for some all space no land missions. Massive capital ship on capital ship action!

Hell yeah! The Hyperion should have to fight through a Zerg swarm in space, with SCV's hovering around repairing it.

you just know someone's going to make a StarCraft: Rogue Squadron with the data editor.

    And it will be awesome.

It would be pretty awesome to see a few reapers go bonzai and starts combating units from on high.

I'm sure this has been asked before on the boards, but this low gravity post got me wondering about Banshees.

If it can be assumed that Space Platforms are devoid of any kind of atmosphere, how is an atmospheric craft, reliant on fans moving air to create lift, supposed to operate in a vacuum?
