I hate when people say this has something to do with banelings being able to explode underground. Your half right. This has something to do with banelings being able to burrow. Exploding underground and unburrowing to explode are the same thing. There is no difference. This isn't like SC1 when you could kill spider mines and take no damage from them. If a baneling unburrows right next to you and your army kills it, they will still take damage from it. This essentially makes it no different.

Burrow is pretty boring ATM. I would like to see burrow reduce damage. Especially if it is moved to T2. This allows Blizzard to make it more interesting. Maybe take less damage from Psionic Storm, or Hunter Seeker Missiles, or Splash altogether. This would also automatically buff up the Lurker, though they should just remove it.

There was that post a week or two ago when they said that burrowing your Drones allowed them to dodge AoE. I think they were talking about D8 Charges at the time, but there's no reason why that couldn't be (or isn't currently) extended to all forms of AoE.

A higher Tier burrow with that would also make sense.

Wow. Zerg dodging nukes with burrow. Damn.

Zerg immune to nuke? Hmm, not sure I like that. That leaves the protoss at a serious disadvantage, in my opinion, who are susceptible to both nukes and EMP. (Wait, is EMP in at this point or not? So hard/annoying to keep up with latest builds... -_- )
    Aaand sold.

Interesting indeed, though it does sound like spell-AoE dodging such as Seeker Missile or Psionic Storm.

I guess early spotters are to balance the blind hill issue.

they could make the sentry come with hallucination instead of forcefield and that would allow protoss to make hallucinated phoenix until they can tech to observers...

I think tier 2/2.5 is a good place for cloaking/mobile detection. Bases come with automatic detection anyways, so cloaking is already quite difficult to pull off. You should have to go out of your way for mobile detection, just like you do for cloaking.

ex: dead-end observatory tech branch (getting an observatory is not on the way to anything else)

Ghosts, DTs and lurkers could be made a lot more badass raiders (Well, maybe not DTs...) with some careful consideration of cloaking/detection windows and builds.

EMP is still in and on the Ghost - I think it deals 100 damage to shields and energy.

I will not be a happy camper if burrow dodges nukes.

Ghosts aren't base raiders. They are combat casters. Support units. Your thinking of Reapers.

Also, getting rid of Force Field is a terrible idea. It is perfect where it is. The Sentry is a breath of fresh air. The Ghost is trite.

Burrowing doesn't dodge AoE, except for reaper charges, from what we've been told.
