On the 'transforming' note, does anyone think they should have gone with a more 'transforming' theme for Terran in SC2? Have a few more units that transform and fill different roles? Perhaps for expansions...
Correction, it can transform into a spacecraft. Besides, I think the transforming part is what the Thor is missing, besides of that, it's quite similar in what refers to size, strength and firepower. I only wonder about the model bit, it's somewhat too "wide" for my taste... makes me think of a walking wall... Macross frontier Koning Monster has somewhat better proportions.

If the little legs are removed, it would be better. Some giant caterpillar tracks would look better.

I would be happier if the Thor looked more robust and solid, whether it is on legs or on tracks.

Personally, I'm no fan of Robot jox, I mean Thor. Something is just off where it exists.

But seriously, someone should mod that.
Or, give the current thor a "Hammer" that works like a tesla coil.

    Kzzzzzzzt!

Play Protoss? Look for the map Photon Cannon Tactics in the NA server!

That little thing could be called gravity. The Thor weights (at least) several hundred tons, yet can walk around on only two legs with each step taking several seconds, which would leave it on its side if you tried it in real life.

I agree. the thor needs some type of an energy weapon. the damn projectiles ain't just working, it looks mediocre and trying hard. This ain't warhammer 40k where giant shells are badass.

A scifi advance gigantic mech usually have energy weapons. Please don't leave the thor behind. Terran are capable of having energy weapons.

This means it could be very expensive, and not cost efficient. I mean, is something like the Thor really a terran thing?

I agree with the tracks idea. Giant skyscraper walking on two legs is just ridiculous - even in sci-fi RTS game.
I'd rather see something like hunter killer tank from Terminator in SC2:

It'll probably be in DoTA, lol.

I agree with the tread/tracks argument. I don't necessarily agree with the absorb splash argument. The thor could still be large enough to absorb splash without being ridiculously entropy-defying.

If you're going to keep the size, at least simplify it, so you can believe a couple schmoes in a some semi-automated factory built in on some fringe planet.
