    ... Oh... Damn, wait...

I wouldn't be opposed to the Thor looking more like an MG-R. It would make more sense, too, in my opinion, unless they can find a real excuse to keep it the size it is. =\
    SNAAAAAAAAKE!

I'm be for a Metal Gear Rex reskin of the thor, that'd be badass.

Thor should be Thor, they should make the current incarnation into a smaller model, something more like viking/goliath sized.

I wouldn't be opposed to it being a large unit, like the Siege Tank. I thought it would be interesting to make it into something of a walking bunker/ground-based drop ship. Just not something... behemoth-size.

Considering Blizzard seems to have taken quite a bit of fan advice and opinions into consideration, I wonder what their thoughts are of the wide-spread Thor bashing?
    Aaand sold.

Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

I say change it to this:
Hey guys I want you all to know that my team is playing/did great this weekend so I am going to go ahead and make it my status because I know you all care and want to know my opinion on it.

I'll vote for that (it'll never happen of course, it's too soon to beta, but I like the idea). where's it from BTW?

Why don't we just literally use Thor from Marvel Comics, and just plate him in metal and grow him 500ft. He'd be like a Mecha Godzilla or something to that effect. It'd be sleeker...

But seriously, someone should mod that.

Personally I think the Thor should be taken out of the multiplayer and replaced with something more useful and with a more defined role. It seems that the viking already fills the role of the goliath, why bother with a specialized anti-air ground unit? It doesn't make sense aside from the fact that Blizzard is just trying to justify its role in the game instead of creating something new. The same thing with the mothership. What they should have done for that is leave the old unit "Star relic" (Which sounds cooler then mothership BTW) and give that the mothership abilities instead of a giant flying saucer taking up half the screen.

I have come to the realization that there are certain units in SC2 that Blizzard simply WILL not do away with. Having a giant tank like the Thor as an Anti-air specialized unit is retarded since it looks like a siege unit. Using it as a single player exclusive unit would be good. Same for the mothership.

Hopefully, in beta, Blizzard will come to its senses and realize that no one likes giant clunked out units in multiplayer. Part of the problem in the original game was the pathing that certain units had. Why contribute more to this problem?
Guess its not a good day to be a bad guy huh skank!?

IF you ask me, it should become like Macross frontier's VB-6 Koenig Monster

Actually, the Thor HAS to be big. One of it's roles is to block and absorb splash damage due to size. If it was a small as the Goliath, it wouldn't be able to do that. Blizzard didn't design the Thor to be big just because its cool, but because the size will be an asset to it role to block frontal assaults to your weaker units that are probably behind it.

And yes, the Thor resemble's Monsters more than anything else. Yey, for Macross inspirations.

That video is completely imba. A robot that can jump on space craft and use them as a weapons platform? I'd spam that unit ftw.

On the 'transforming' note, does anyone think they should have gone with a more 'transforming' theme for Terran in SC2? Have a few more units that transform and fill different roles? Perhaps for expansions...
