Default Simpler, more realistic Thor model?

I liked SC because you could actually believe that entropy existed. The Thor just seems like a giant waste of resources. I don't really like the unit, but if it's going to be in, I think they should simplify it to be like this image - kind of a giant goliath or something, not 200,000 moving limbs and guns.

Yes, a slimmer Thor would be wonderful. It can take up the same amount of space, but cut a bit of the flab.

If it blocks any of my ground units, i will be pissed. Hopefully they will keep it looking cool and just shrink it so it doesnt obscure the entire battlefield. Otherwise, some really stupid strategies will evolve around hiding units in the shadow of a thor :O

Like a ghost with EMP for example...

That wasnt entirely serious, but honestly, i dont want to have to peer around this bad boy just to see my army.

We'll know in a few days how it performs in action, however, I could see people blocking chokes with Thors and having Tanks fire at the unit clumps past the Thors. That might be pretty weak.

Actually I'd like it. Using a bulky, heavily armed unit to make enemies pile up is a valid strategy. It's up to you to decide if you're gonna do that and risk the splash damage to try to reach the tanks or if you're gonna engage the Thor first in stand of range

Never really liked the Thor to begin with, the model always seemed too bulky and top-heavy, so I'd like to trim it down.

I don't like the Thor for a number of reasons, at least not for multiplayer. I think it'd be a cool single player unit, but for multiplayer I don't really like that you can get this big massive thing that soaks up damage and can attack both air and ground.

I found this really cool fanart depicting a sleeker, sexier Thor!

    ... Oh... Damn, wait...

I wouldn't be opposed to the Thor looking more like an MG-R. It would make more sense, too, in my opinion, unless they can find a real excuse to keep it the size it is. =\
    Aaand sold.
