Hold on, did you just insinuate Blizzard's professional, in-house testers aren't old school enough? And for the record, a lot of things have changed (including the non-return of Scourges) that may have left the Lurker behind. In which case, the Lurker needs to evolve to match or be cut in favor of something new.
Zerg players now have more options to do the Lurker's job. For instance, by the time Lurkers come into play, so can Brood Lords who too have 9 range. On top of that, they're air units (so, fewer units can attack it), don't need to be set up in advance (hence, more flexible and spontaneous in use) and spawn Broodlings (which provide extra harassment).

I would like to draw your attention to this particular part of my post:
That is all!![]()
EDIT: In other words, it wasn't a very serious post.

I'm going to redirect the discussion to this thread here: http://sclegacy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2416&page=6
This was on forum firstpage yesterday and had much of the same discussion (including cliff-lurkers) so I think it'd be good to keep it there. Don't worry Operatoring, I see that you didn't post in that thread so you probably were unaware.
