i really wonder how much they get paid for working in weekends, over-hours and sometimes sleeping in a couch, must be horrible that kind of life T_T, not wonder why they use beer to balance the game xD

Just an old article that gives a clue why people are more than willing to work for the company. The treat their people right. Besides that, the people who work there are PASSIONATE about their projects and only want to see them suceed.
While many people who don't understand this style of business may view it as "bribery"... it's definately a level of "reward".

Blizzard is a succesful company like Relic and Westwood full of staff with passion. Mainly they get a lot of free stuff under their own brands; but I believe that the best profit out of it, is the feeling of building games that will be played for decades by people like yourself.
