sure, considering reference model generates 76C at load
while the GeForce GTX480 reaches over 90C
I could go even lower by manual fan control and set it to 75% which would give me max 51C as I tested it, but it's noisy then

So, your fan should be running 100% all the time like mine?

So is it a problem if I have an ATI HD 5970 for Sapphire Which: at Idle Generates 56-58* and running full out 99-102* (That is just enough to boil water)?

ATI cards are notoriously hot cards, I would recommend you install MSI Afterburner to bring it down to a none critical mass temperature.

mine runs at about 85 at load and using MSI to controllt he fan it brings it down to about 35.

It does run that hot. What's a MSI Afterburner?

Its a program for regulating fans, it will turn your fan speed up as the temp increases and visa versa. keeps things in check nicely.

Ok, but I need something to exhaust heat from my card better. Right now the fan runs at 100% all the time.
