Guys, I need your thoughs on my PC. I absolutelly deny to run SC2 in the lowest graphic quality, some tell me if my ride can pass the test,

processor:amd athlon dual core QL 62 2.00 GHZ
Ram: 2 G (windows vista, upgradeable to 4G)
    system type: 32-bit operating system
    Graphic card: Nvidia 8200 M G,

can I deal with at least the beta version?

Do you know what socket that Athlon is? 939 or AM2? To be perfectly honest, if it's 939 then it's both your CPU and your graphics card that are slowing you down. For less than $400 you can get a whole new machine that'll run the game on medium extremely well, and on high pretty nice.

A nice AM3 motherboard with some DDR3 and a Radeon 5670 will up your performance probably quiet a bit. What's your price range?

/edit: PS: Sorry I haven't been around this thread lately...life's been very hectic of late!

Easy cowboy, this little piece of junk (my actual PC) was a family gift, and I dont have 400 bucks nor the intentions to change it.

About the socket, I ahve no actual idea. My plan was buying a new video card (PCIE GF9500 GT 1024mb DDR2 Nvidia) and to rise the RAM memory to 4gb, all of that for $150 more or less. I dont want to use all my money to make my PC a monster. First comes traveling to Europe, hehehe.

And thank you for the answers...any toughs about my actual action plan?

Ditch the nVidia cards for the foreseeable future. Upping your ram to 4 gig will only work if you have a 64bit operating system, otherwise you might just end up slowing things down instead of speeding them up. In several cases I've increased my ram past 2 gigs and only had the PC slow down because it was 32bit Vista. Vista is even worse than XP when it comes to memory management.

For your graphics card, I'd recommend a nice Radeon 5670. It does quite well in its price range and its got DX11...which isn't that big of a deal at the moment, but it'll save you from having to buy a new card in six months (DX11 is picking up much faster than DX10 did when it comes to games).

You'll get around 60fps at 1680x1024, high details in DoW2.

Or, if you decide not to increase you ram, you can opt for a very nice 5770, which is what I currently sport, and it handles the beta JUST fine at ultra settings. Course, in your case, Ultra settings will be slowed down more by your processor than by your graphics card, but a 5770 will handle it nice.
