Anyone Else excited to hear the new Music?

Yeah, I have to agree that song's kinda gay and do hope they re-invent the themes and motives for each race somewhat. En Taro Adun and The Hyperion Overture from that album was pretty dope I felt.

I'd say the Hyperion works because it is for cinematics. En Taru adun is because protoss themes are somewhat ethereal, wind, strings, brass. Terrans are different.

If they wish to make Terran's more modern sci-fi, then so be it. But, the gay-ish is just broken. It's kind of forced. Have you noticed the fantasy feel there? That's not Terran.

Terran is this dry/adventure/action/hard-life. Zerg is this "death"/horror/psychotic. Protoss is this Epic/Ponderous/Mythical/Crystal/Watery thing.

I don't exactly know what words to express the themes, but I guess you'd agree somewhat.

Yeah, personally I was never too fond of the Terran themes. The twangy guitars sort of projected a red-neck aura, with the chorus lines being a forced way of rooting for the underdog. None of them sound very futuristic or spacey. In hindsight I can appreciate these songs because of the memories they bring, but for #2 I sort of hoped they'd stray from the main theme. The Hyperion Overture I felt was a great attempt.

Protoss and Zerg both were excellent, IMO. Protoss #2 was my favorite.

True. I guess I'll just have to wait. I'm certain the audio guys are more than capable of delivering the quality they themselves are very much interested in capturing or re-imagining.

I like the Hyperion track. The Zerg, maybe could use a little more thump and dynamic.

Again, I'm curious as to what the final themes will actually sound like and feel.

Terran: beautiful guitar pieces with ambient color like it had back in SC1.
I dont mind if it have "redneck aura" as look as it's a great performance.

as a professional musician by career, Sure, it'll be cool. But honestly I could care less, im more into the multiplayer aspect, competitive esports side of SC. everything else is just there. I actually dont dig "fantasy" stuff like this usually, hate starwars/LOTR and all that junk. Just want a good competitive RTS game to play =/

I seem to be in the minority with this one, but I thought the music of SC 1 fitted the races perfectly, and vice versa, even made the races what they are. The "synthezised crap" part in particular was surprising to me. It isn't usual, sure. It sure as hell wasn't Bach or Vivaldi. But in a sci-fi setting with redneck humans, mysterious psi-warriors and a matriarchal cousin-race of the Tyranids, maybe it doesn't have to be?
That's where the syntheziser really shined for me. It made the Protoss seem otherwordly, the Terrans unruly, yet effective and the Zerg threatening and unrelenting.
The Echoes of War themes, on the other hand, completely underwhelmed me. Especially the Zerg one, which seemed far fetched and downright forced.

And it might be just dandy to have a cool game without an orchestra again. It's supposed to invoke the feeling of otherwordliness, after all.
