    Eggies get bad rep as the most unbalanced of the original 3 civs, which is a shame because I like them the best . For what it's worth though, I play Ra instead of the more noob-friendly Isis .

    Anyway, Protoss have a minor Egyptian vibe just from an aesthetic standpoint. The blue and gold horizontal stripes on the Immortal resembles that particular Pharoah headdress.

    Also, some Protoss' chins resemble the fake chins which Egyptian Pharoahs would wear

    And the Nexus is a pyramid .

    Atlanteans, baybe. Oranos was a beast: sky passages are like nydus worms, only better because of the size of the maps and slowness of the units. Plus, its great for protecting your villagers. Someone should make an AoM thread lol.

    Hmm, Nice Mechanic, it seems its much more complicated with the other 2 races, but you get more option rather than simple fast mineral mining from mule and faster unit production from zerg you can have a little taste of both. Not sure thought if you can cast it on you nexus then the latter will not be possible. It seems with this new mechanic tech switching will not be a big problem anymore and on top of that teching will be a bit faster. All I can say for now is that protoss is more flexible now.

    Yah a energy ability that speeds up some base process. Quite unique for a macro mechanic

    The "mineral mining" aspect of Time Warp is making more workers....which the zerg can also do. Its not really a taste of both so much as it is a taste of zerg.

    Protoss = Egyptian theme (obviously)
    Terran = Norse Myth theme (samples, Thor, Vakyrie, and Viking)
    Zerg = don't know

    You right, I have to admit its a good mechanic atleast blizzard is not just sitting idly, I dont care if it takes more time for as long as they can make it awesome and unique Im cool with that. Been waiting for more than 9years for this game.

    Time warp is about as unique I think a Protoss macro mechanic will get, since the outcome of all these Macro mechanics are ultimately leading to the same thing, faster unit production. Unlike spawn larva though, this relies on just the nexus, not a bunch of queens (Protoss emphasis less numbers). This is an improvement from proton charge, which was monotonous and was slapped on a building with combat oriented uses. Time warp's mechanic can actually be used in many different ways.

    For example, if resources are doing good, instead of telling Time Warp to focus on probes, you can focus it on researching "blink". I think thats cool.

    Faster unit production is a great avenue for macro. But Its not the only one. Dont discount bottom up resource mechanics like MULE. They accelerate all aspects of macro to give a compounding faster game expeirence.

    I would agree if MULES gathered gas.
