    A) THERE WERE MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WITH PC

    B) THIS FIXES MOST OF THEM

You're a goddamn lunatic. Go somewhere where your kind of mindless drivel is appreciated. Like TL.

It happened again. Demo and I are...merging...into one asshole entity...a Prick Archon, if you will...

This ability being on the nexus is definitely more strategically deep and versatile then Proton Charge was. Giving people more money will always be inferior to giving them more choices with the same amount of money.

In general, I find that the very nature of the Age RTS series leads to less emphasis on build orders (although they're still very important).

This Nexus mechanic sounds similar in that it will be able to suit the playstyles of different players and that you'll still be able to get quite a bit out of it even without adhering to a strict pattern of usage. At least, that's what I feel :].

Protoss also have a minor Egyptian vibe going on, too, which I think makes this mechanic rather cute, if it sticks :P.
Absolutely! - Although I never played enough online to determine if it was as unbalanced as people say. I had the easiest time playing as the Greek faction, but that doesn't always mean imbalance. (?)

Anyhow, agreed - I think this mechanic will lead to all kinds of interesting builds, and will fit all types of playstyles. Of course, it'll have to be a little more useful than the Pharoh...

Also, how do the Protoss have the Egyptian vibe?

Dsquids having an imaginary battle with me where I dont think PC had problems and also dont think that this new mechanic has merits. Hes wrong on both counts and should read my signature if he wants to correct himself.

It allows any single building you choose to produce units and/or research upgrades faster for a certain amount of time.

As far as Protoss being able to tech faster, ok sure. But can Protoss get a supply boost like the Terran? Can they produce more units simultaneously than anyone else, like the Zerg? No. I think this is what they will be balancing.

Can a nexus cast time warp on itself (or on another nexus) to produce probes faster?

Also, I like this ability, it will allow protoss to respond to the tech switches of other races more quickly which was a limitation they had in SC1.

Does this mark the end of the giant macro debate? Or is it just the beginning.

Plus, congratulations to everyone who suggested it, even if you weren't first.

I suppose that depends what the abilities range is.

The range could make a huge difference. Especially since forges are used for fast expand (at least in SC1) which can be at some distance from the main. Is there any reason why the range can't be unlimited?

If it is unlimited end game could see entire banks of production facilities accelerated. Quite a nice macro challenge.

At least this mechanic feels unique. PC just seemed like a different version of mules to me. I'm not to the level of obsession that some of the rest of you are ATM because I choose to ignore SCII until there was some concrete evidence it would come out in my lifetime, so please forgive my ignorance if PC was NOTHING like mule.

Personally I think this is a nice idea. It makes the three mechanics feel different, even if they accomplish similar end goals.
