I think that no beta informations will be released, I might be wrong about Blizzard intensions though.
They will likely talk about Battle.net 2.0 for obvious reasons.

Mass Effect Universe Fan, I support Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for Game of the year award! ME2 still is being the best rated game this year! Keep it up

This is the worst wait for a game in recent memory. I wish companies, especially blizzard, would just work on a game until it's within a less than a year of completion for SURE and then say "Surprise! this is coming out!"
I know that will never happen but I get so tired of the drawn out drip of info for years on end.

i don't think i've ever waited for/wanted a game so long/so much as i have with sc2

well... in my opinion the wait for Metal Gear Solid 4 and some Final Fantasy games were even worse, they public announce the game 5-6 years before their release with nothing to show about the game except a video using graphics from the MGS3: Snake Eater O.o
in fact the new MGS for 360 was announce after a countdown that lead to a countdown that lead to another countdown to a presentation in the E3 that only show the name of the game and a picture of Raiden-Ninja G_G

I don't see what 6 months of beta testing would reveal that 3-4 months wouldn't, in terms of the game being ready for release. They just need to be vigilant and show restraint in patching the game after release.

I predict they will not even mention the word "beta". Investors do not know or care what the beta is.
They will confirm that they are still on track for a Q2 release.
Then delay until July... just cause they can.![]()

StarCraft 2 can't be like SC1 was on release (ie: deeply IMBA!!!). The game needs to hit the ground running and needs to compete with a well-balanced SC1 from day 1.I don't see what 6 months of beta testing would reveal that 3-4 months wouldn't, in terms of the game being ready for release.
That means they will want to get SC2 up to at least SC1's 1.05 level of balance, if not 1.08. And 6 months of rigorous beta testing is the minimum you will need to ensure this.

Even if they don't mention the beta during the conference, it can't be that much farther away.
