Another Beta Rumor...

i cant believe people are using "shitty game #1 is coming out before sc2" as an excuse.. Uhh, the REASON why blizzard games is so good is because they are polished beyond belief compared to those games. Blizzard actually takes the time to work out every bug, every section of the game is smooth as a baby's bottom and the hours put into it is unmatchable to any gaming company.

Other RTS games probably spent about 1 year making the whole game, and the amount of hours put in are less than 1/10th the hours put into SC2's development PER YEAR! Its no coincidence that SC/War3 are still the absolute top RTS games, with nothing else even coming within a mile, after being 10+ years old. How many C&C games are there? Like 10? They all suck, no one remembers them past a year, and yet BW is still the most popular RTS after 11 years.

I dont know why you guys are even waiting for SC2, if you complain about them releasing some C&C first. Just go play that then.

it's for PC as well.. i've never played the original supreme commander, but i've heard lots of good things about it. it has an 86/100 metacritic rating, so i doubt it's garbage.

the original came out in 2007, so the sequel has about a 3 year dev time. my point is if supreme commander 2 is as good or better as the first, it's pretty sad that blizzard can't even manage to get the starcraft 2 beta out before supcom2 releases.

not to get too off-topic here but...supreme commander 1 was cool but they are oversimplying everything in number 2 from what I could see (the lead designer told the community so in an interview). Also, the fact that it is both a console game and a pc game imply that they sacrificed a lot of its complexity to suite the console environment. I didn't say number 1 was garbage (pretty solid game if you don't care about the story) but number 2 is gonna be crap, 99.9% sure.

I love the concept and the gameplay mechanics very much, but don't play it as much as I should. I love the tank physics and macro gameplay, but the WW2 setting and sophisticated system was too much for me.
