I'm gonna call bullshit. Unless the adjutant is made of nano-bots or Terminator 2 Liquid metal, and the person who drew it assumes that biological viruses, and coded computer viruses, are the same thing.
It would appear as if the original artist chose a style of coloring that was heavy on grayscale with very little coloring. Check her gallery, and you'll notice several pieces of her art with a similar coloring style. She may choose to leave it that way as those in her gallery, or consider it a work in progress. I could definitely see the possibility of someone finishing it with full color in the future. Use a little imagination, DS, you can't tell that there aren't spaces on that should be colored in something other than a gray?

Someone once asked me, "If you could have one, which one would you pick?" My response was, "Both. :3"

That latter image has Furukawa written all over it.
    Aaand sold.

It is in fact an illustration from Ghost Academy Vol 2, according to the comment on devart .

I also love that Zeratul sketch - he looks incredibly badass there .

There's a reason why Edward Longshanks was an evil git in 'Braveheart'! Down with the shanks! All of them!

I challenge your "imagination" and substitute my "reason."

And I substitute your 'reason' with 'rule of cool'. It's just more dramatic with the eyes being the only part coloured. There is certainly supposed to be more colour. For instance, look at the hip section of the adjutant; there's something there that is either rust or organic matter. Either way, it's supposed to have colour.

So here is the process Tabnir went through for the Ghost v Spectre artwork. Some pretty fantastic stuff.

SO no one posted Samwise's Hybrid. I really like the look, although the finger-fused, front facing, Tyranid-style hand claws bothers me. The joints totally wouln't support the strain of those claws doing any real damage, because the wrist joint it so floppy the couldn't pierce through anything, and they don't look like they'd be very effective at slashing at all.

Edit: Uploaded it to host on my Photobucket so you can see it in the post, the link at the top still goes to the image on the Sons of the Storm website.

That's because it was already posted here.
