I'm not particularly fond of big ass Protoss guys like the armoured dude. Totally kills the elegant/swift/light theme of the Protoss Infantry.

As much as I love Tassadar I agree that hes gone.. if blizz decides to bring him back I'm not really sure if I'll like it or not. Depends on how they go about it.
In the picture its pretty funny, the knee armor looks like its attached to him by the metal peg that seems to be going through his entire knee cap. Other then that it looks pretty sweet.

I'm a little concerned with the advent of this whole Prophecy thing touted by Zeratul, what with the Chosen One (ye gods I hate that archetype/plot device) resurfacing every so often in times of need.
Don't let Tassadar's sacrifice be sullied and made null by resurrecting him. =[
Aaand sold.
Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

I think most of us are of this opinion.As much as I love Tassadar I agree that hes gone.. if blizz decides to bring him back I'm not really sure if I'll like it or not. Depends on how they go about it.

Maybe, the Chosen One will be Adun, Zeratul himself or a completely new character? Then again, Blizzard has previously mentioned Tassadar as being the 'Twilight Messiah' so they have probably toyed with the idea of bringing him back at some point in development.
If this is the case, it all depends on the execution. After all, there are things worse than death. For example, what if Tassadar survives but his mind is now fused into the carcass of the first Overmind, wherever it is gone. After all, Blizzard did hint that his spirit could still be 'floating around somewhere'.

It kind of would be interesting to see some sort of fate worse than death with regard to Tassadar. In my mind that would make his sacrifice even more badass since hes still living out the consequences of what it took to save his people. If he just shows up in his old body but is now more enlightened then that would kind of piss me off. That only worked for Gandalf because we never actually saw (or read0 that he died. It was implied, which made it work when he came back. Tassadar used his energy to destroy the overmind and then the ship he was on exploded so... I'm pretty sure hes dead. Although I have to say, we don't really know what takes place when a protoss turns into blue energy of his own accord and breaks down an overmind with raw psionic energy.
Hrmm before we get too far off topic maybe we should make a new thread about this. :P

I'll admit, I'm not normally a fan of pencil sketches, but this was a piece of artwork I couldn't ignore.
