    Nice Zergling.
Scorpio, I like that top down shot, looks cool.

I did this the other day. Took 2 tries and a marathon 27 hour render to get it done. Not happy about the lines in the snow, but after that long render, I am reluctant to go again. lol

Debating on playing with the immortal or working on someone else. X-Soldier suggested I upload that Starcraft book I wrote here...Any opinions?

A thought's just occurred to me, if the Protoss are now supposed to be a unifies society, why are almost all of the buildings still Auirian, shouldn't we have seen a drift towards a more silvery ala Void Ray?

    Two points:

First of all, "unified" doesn't mean "homogeneous." Plenty of examples from history of nations/empires/etc with multiple cultural groups with their own unique architectural styles. This is somewhat less true in modern industrialized cultures (a factory pretty much looks like a factory) but the Protoss have always had...highly cultural buildings

Second, the Aiur Protoss still vastly outnumber the Dark Templar, unless I'm mistaken. So the bulk of designs would still be yellow metal.

also, the DTs never really had any buildings. correct me if i'm wrong, coz i don't know that much about sc lore compared to most of you, but i always saw the DTs as nomadic. that would make them build less, wouldn't it?

i'd like to see an [unannounced] starcraft 3 to contain silver buildings though.

Yes, but Auir was a major industrial centre if I recall, so losing that would mean having to switch at least partially to the DT industrial base, which should mean they have at least one or two silver buildings, or sections of silver anyway, even if they did have some major production facilities offworld.

Where do you get that from, most of Auir's population was slaughtered, and groups like the Shel'na Kryhas and the Tal'darim prove that most of the survivors were left stranded. It may be that this they still outnumber the DT even then, but I do somehow doubt it.

They've enough industry to build Tempests (maybe) and Void Rays, which are not insignificant vessels.

Perhaps they did but Aiuran sensibilities ordered them painted gold. What we see is just the external. The buildings' innards could well be Dark Templar.

Another reason why the buildings are mainly gold is because most of them are returning from SC1 where they are gold and Blizzard simply decided to keep them similar for simpler recognition.

This art threat always turns into a lore based debate... but besides the Protoss lore debate... I love that picture, Scorpio. Thanks for sharing.
