"Uncomfortable"? "Not interested in Protoss junk"? And yet you cannot help but look anyway. Lol.
Yes, that's right! That is indeed ME on the right.

While Nissa is taking in that sweet, sweet thong, I'm sitting here missing the Zealot's butt-wings.

    Game: Literally unplayable.

Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

The road's goal is the Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

That may be the case. I've been waiting to see if Blizzard could get back on track, but, if the can't even get a remaster where they copy the formula already created, then StarCraft 3 has no hope no matter when it comes out, and I should just forget about the story for the entire series and finally give up.

I've heard a few people mention SC3 lately. Did I miss something? I always personally assumed that StarCraft II would be the end of the franchise. RTS are on the way out, it would seem, and Blizzard is expanding into other directions.

After Legacy of the Void, they pretty much confirmed they would be moving onto WarCraft IV which would be some variation of RTS. At least in a sense that, for something to be available, six years now they need to have someone doing something now.

But, either way, StarCraft III need not necessarily be a RTS in the same vein as StarCraft and StarCraft II. In fact, this is one of the few areas where Blizzard has my permission to make drastic changes. The formula was perfected (as much as it can and should be) with StarCraft II. It's time for something new.

It also doesn't even have to be an RTS at all.

Also, the RTS genre is more alive today than it was in the down time between WarCraft III and StarCraft II, so that shouldn't be a factor five or ten years from now. But true, another SC1-style RTS cannot compete with whatever MOBA/FPS they've got years from now.

Really? Aside from Dawn of War III, I hadn't heard of many RTS releases.

My Steam Library is filled with RTS released in the last few years. They're just not big-budget titles. So, I guess I should clarify, RTS is getting more niche (and better) but not as big-name, big budget.

And, of course, that may just be my perception, since I'm into more non-StarCraft RTS now than I ever was before StarCraft II.

Also, to clarify, the eSports of RTS may be dead.

I don't mind light stories, just not in franchises that are not known for them, it doesn't work.

light stories in light franchises are totally fine, but it does not work in SC.

That's pretty much what I've been thinking as well.

"RTS are on the way out, it would seem,"

I certaintly hope not, but if that's the case, I guess i'll just be that old codger with a dusty shelf full of ancient strategy games

because most of gaming does not interest me at this point. Mostly either:
-Generic open world game where you capture X number of Y
    -Generic Schuut game #1932475
-Generic indie retro 8-bit game #41325
    -Quicktime event movies
    -Disgusting filth we call "mobas"
    -Generic Sport game #2813501
-Generic "action set piece" game #2913250

Out of fashion I suppose, along with the pointy pauldrons and whatever that thing is on his chest/in front of his face.

Imho the tone got a lot better on LotV and Nova Covert Ops... Am i the only one who thinks that MOBAs are bastardized RTS full of tryhards? Plus the rip off art assets with no shame
