    I'll bash Diablo 3's art style all day because its supposed to be dark. Doing the same for Heroes of the Storm just makes you look stupid though.

    I think that the main issue of muscularising the Protoss is that it tends to make them less unique and identifiably alien/Protoss. Barring the obligatory differently designed head and number of (and clawed) digits on extremities, the overall proportions of the body kind of shifts them into looking like mutant humans more than aliens. If one is to look at Sc2's Raynor and see past the obvious superficial differences, one can see the general similarities in body shape (a tiny head compared to his roided out frame with massive hands/sausage fingers).

    It definitely cuts down considerably on their alienness. Protoss are now about as much human as Orcs are, which are basically a skin color change with a different head.

    Plus, I can say with absolute certainty as a somewhat serious weight lifter, that the bigger your muscles and the stronger the fibers are, the less mobile you are. The original Protoss designs (according to my non-engineering opinion) made the ninja-like feets of Zealots atleast seem somewhat plausible. This shit does not.

    We've known how unreal Blizzard's art style has been all these years. I really can't complain. It's meant to be broken. Best example might be Marine armor and the impossibility of getting a bulky human in there.

    As for Heroes, it's meant to be a goof of everything Blizzard. Hell, there might not even be a lore department guy in the team. The color range and clear model differences will attrack new players like flies. "Real" styles will lead to 4 Heroes sharing the same model like the archers in Dota 2.

    A bulky Marine goes with what they're trying to make the Marine out to be which is a psycho-aggressive, 'roid raging criminal. Not so for muscular Protoss.

    I think that commercially is more effective a muscular protoss that a skinny/fragile protoss, i repeat COMMERCIALLY/Marketing talking ... A curiosity... What do you think about sc2 ultralisk ? I love it but i am pretty sure that you hate also this for some reason... The one that doesn't make too sense is the aberration :/ i mean... Giant face... What?

    Well, the first Protoss Zealot "doll" released by Blizzard was shown to have skinny (original/traditional) limbs and I don't think that hurt its commercial appeal...

    Oh yeah that Tassadar of 90's action figure... Ok this is true, commercial wouldn't be hurted... I think Anyway that make sci-fi games Anyway create alwais some nonsense, big or small they are alwais present... For example, how in the hell this guy can cliff-wall, jump for 5 and more meters???     And personally i don't find blizzard art a total shit... I find it eccessive, ok some new art was awfull/pure shit, but condamn all new art as shit is free hatred for me... And for protoss, i don't mind if now they have muscles, even the sc1 skinny protoss was "look here Humanized alien", and i do the same with all alien that "coincidence" have two arms and two legs...     PS: even him is a Classic Humanoid alien for me
