    Yoo, the artist who modeled the Viking for the HotS intro posted pics of it (9 months ago, but I only just saw).

    This is the best view we've ever had of the fighter mode. Though if I were to make my own version I would still scale down the cartoonishly large gatling guns / autocannons. Realllly not aerodynamic.

    And mech mode:

    Interestingly, it looks like a 2-seater in fighter mode. The second person gets covered up when it transforms!

    I really like that. It's like a protective vehicle for an important prisoner or someone they have to keep safe.

    Oh hey and the in-engine cutscene one from Covert Ops is also on artstation, so we can see the underside. It's wayyy simplified. Here there's less of a division between the 'two' cockpits. Also compare the way the wings are supposed to be collapsible, I don't believe for a second that the pistons with this one would work.

    I like the new version more, more details, it's similar to the in-game model and makes sense as a precursor of the sc2 hydra... Am i the only that doesn't give a heck about this remaster? "Re-enjoy 19 years old techincal limitations... but with prettier graphics"... No thanks Blizzard, i know that multiplayer is better and the story is more consistant, but no, i already own scbw.

    I don't like the new art, its too "SC2 chubby with rounded kid-safe spikes" and overly designed for me.

    and I already hate SC2s art to begin with.

    Something was always a bit off about the original Hydralisk. The design is improved and the tone of the artwork is still fairly gritty. I approve.

    Aaand sold.

    Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
    The Forger's wake is bereft and fallow

    Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
    Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?

    The road's goal is the Origin of Being
    But be wary through what thickets it winds.
