Thread: Nullifier renamed + new model?

    i think they should think about lore more. Why do they need this thing? Where does it get its psionic powers from?

    Maybe it should be the high-templar form of the dragoon:

    zealot--> goon/immortal
    dark templar--> stalker

    high templar--> sentry?

    If so, it should be less robotic and look more like a goon (frankly, just turning those appendages on its head around and flipping it up on to them to use as legs would be an interesting change).

    It would also need to have a more mysterious name.

    And they still need to explain how a robotic unit ended up at the gateway while an organic warrior ended up at the robo facility).

    Please, dont bother mentioning "gameplay before lore:" im aware of that thank you. It just might be helpful to understand what this little buggers relationship is to the rest of the forces.

    Yes - I've merged your posts together - please try to keep it clean and don't double post

    On topic: I absolutely love the new model - the lore... well we'll have to see but I think the thing looks BA.

    From the Wiki:

    The sentry[11] is a protoss support unit introduced in StarCraft II available early in the game.[12][13] It was previously known as the disruptor,[14] and nullifier before that.[15]

    The sentry is most likely purely robotic, like the Reaver or probe.

    I'm having a great deal of difficulty separating its various "horns" and "wings" from one another. Are there three pairs: 2 with blue "blades" and 1 with nothing? The angle is really making this hard to tell. Also, I think the ball rests in a bowl-like part of the Sentry. I think it looks okay, but it could probably lose a few appendages to cut back on the useless busyness.

    Three "wings" two large ones with blades and one small one on top. Ball has no support except for two rotating rings in the center (think event horizen) and the "tail" part is stabilizing the back but with no obvious "solid" connections.

    This model got me thinking, suppose we could beef up the carrier model with some of these energy shapes? Make it bigger without making it bigger.

    When you think about it, I think the hellion haters probably don't like how the hellion looks like something out of command and conquer... but it's not like there are any sc2 devs that would influence the game to look more like c&c...
