The spears always catch me off gaurd, I always expect preds to go melee when I charge towards them, suddenly I am dead and I cant figure out why.

Well after trying it out on the pc I can say that it's decent. 8374658972648925 times better than the 360 version.

I dunno guys... I've played this a bit and it's just 'meh'. I understand the demo is a really old build... I hope they release a better one :\

I played it and am enjoying it quite a bit.

So far, my favourite goes as Pred > Marine > Alien

I hate playing as Alien, it's way too disorientating for me. I can't get it down right. I love the Pred's cloaking (totally useless against Aliens) against Marines, and I like his disc launcher attack.

I love his melee as well, and his jumping.

The marine is second for me, I just love guns and being able to kill guys before they even get near. The shotgun is awesome.

Too bad he can hardly see jack though, and once an alien gets up close it's GG.

It's interesting to hear over at www.avpgalaxy.net how the developers originally had things like Aim Down Sight and Crouch in the game, but removed them because in testing either players didn't use them or they altered the player's play-style too much.

I'm thinking part of the problem with the game (aside from it lacking modern (Warfare) polish) is it not adhering to FPS standards. I do wonder how much different it would be if the Marine did have Q&E leaning, crouching, and aim down sight...

Exactly. The game felt very rudimentary by today's FPS standards. Like it predated the Unreal engine.

We'll see if the lesson is learned. They still have an opportunity and are willing to make such modifications to the game as time goes on.
