I think this kind of deserves its own topic
If you pay attention to the SC2 Support Site, it's now as of today broken down into GamePlay and Technical Issues. And the requirements were just added.
Find anything else? Post it here imo.
Looks like behind the scenes alot is getting ready!
For the first time ever I feel confident in an imminent beta launch
Finding 1: NO MAC Support for Beta at beginning
Source: "Unfortunately, during this phase a Mac version will not be available." - System Requirement Page
To download the Beta software, please log into your Battle.net account and select manage game for StarCraft II Beta (at this time, the Beta is only available for Windows). Once the file has been downloaded, double click on the file to begin the download and installation
Finding 2: How to host games and play from College/Universities
Source: When playing StarCraft 2 on Battle.net, TCP Port 1119 is used to send and receive all game information. If you are attempting to connect from a 'policed network', please speak with the Network Administrator and ensure that TCP Port 1119 is open for communication.
If you're connecting from home and using a router, forwarding TCP Port 1119 on your router may also help improve your connection to Battle.net. Your router manual or router manufacturer's support pages should explain how to forward ports on your router.
