www.armedassault.com/downloads.html The Armed Assault 2 demo (Behemoth, FPS military sim) is one of the best video game stress-testers I've seen. The game is modern and fairly well optimized, and more importantly will eat a mediocre computer for breakfast. The game is a military combat sim though, and the controls are *really* wonky if you don't take the time (About an hour!) to set them up to standards. The game is good for just putting the graphics on max and doing a skirmish battle with dozens of NPC's.
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/...=files;title;2 The Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts demo (Relic, WW2) is one of the more modern RTS games and would be a good benchmark for your StarCraft 2 playability. If you can run the game on max settings with no real framerate issues, I'd say your golden.
http://www.filefront.com/13605067/Wa...of-War-2-Demo/ Dawn of War 2 (Relic, sci-fi) is newer than Company of Heroes, but from what I can tell takes a step back in terms of actual hardware requirements. Still a good gauge.

Wow, these specs are low. I'll probably have a new PC by the time this game comes out, but its nice to know I almost meet the recommended settings. The fact that this game boots up on a Geforce 2 is remarkable.
Yes, it meets the minimum requirements. A geforce 6800 is about as good as a 7600. You should be able to play with almost medium settings.

15 GB of free space, for a multiplayer only beta, are they serious ?
Can't even imagine how much will the full game require then (20-25GB)?![]()

The 15 GB is probably for SC2 as a whole not just beta
