Or for people that has the money, and want to use simple things. It has "easy to use" written all over it
However, i wonder how much does the battery last. It's one of the big problems of mobile computing. Also, won't the screen be easy to scratch? It looks a little exposed.
I look with good eyes at devices like the Kindle, or the Skiff, that can run a lot of time, and are easy on the eyes even on bright sunlight. Of course, they have no color, but the advantages more than address for this. Someone should make a tablet pc with this kind of displays.

So they release a giant iPhone, except it can't make any calls?
For half the cost of Apple's latest wiz-bang gadget you can get a very good eReader like Kindle or Nook, which uses E Ink so you don't end up killing your eyes after reading for an hour or so. And really you don't need a color screen to read books, though Nook does have a small one for menu selection and such, but still a netbook is going to give you the same thing but at better price and more functionality.Netbooks are great little laptops but I am looking for a good ereader that has a color screen and can import books, thats my only reason for liking the iPad
Superior capability in language does not necessarily equate to superior intelligence...but it certainly doesn't help your argument if you sound stupid.

10 hours on "normal usage," for the iPad. Since that means 1 program at a time max, a dumbed-down OS, slow CPU and lack of flash, if you were, say, watching a movie, it would probably be 3-4 hours max. Which actually isn't too bad, but nothing truly spectacular.

You do realize that's the exact goal right? No more paper, ever. Just touchpads like that one.
As usual though, I only hate apple because they charge so much on the apple logo. Their technology isn't actually that bad, it just has a performance/price ratio that's abysmal compared to it's competition. Although I would never ever buy this, I'm not sure I could blame people who know nothing about computers or electronics for getting an IPad just because Apple's genius advertisement tells them to.

Perhaps my best bet is the HP Slate
