Caliban. I won't place money on it (silly to do on a forum) but if you were a real life friend of mine, I'd take that bet (end of Feb) in an instant at this point. Would I win? Who's to say... But I'd feel rather confident on the odds.

You really think all these news rumbles over the past week aren't going to culminate with beta until at least a month from now? Forgive my foolish optimism, but why?

Why would blizzard show us Welcome to SC2 Beta in jace hall, then confirm it with the tweet, and add a new CM if they had zero intention of beta in the next couple days or 2-3 weeks...

makes ZERO sense and all it does cause more raging and trolling which blues have already been annoyed with

Truth is, I feel I am being optimistic with an end-of-Feb Beta - I'd love to be wrong; I'd pass out if it were this Friday, but I just think the upcoming news is related to Bnet2 (with Beta rolling along sometime soon after)

The Jace thing could easily be staged as a joke, or even something that was taken out of context....so I'm not buying into that just yet.

On the other hand, Gifted practically told me he would take my bet in a flash, and pretty much start spending it immediately on a round of shots....so who knows?

Also, No need fer anybody to rage.......trust me, no one here will be happier to be wrong - lemme tellz ye.

Just my humble opinion, but I still think that investor's don't have any interest in when a beta starts. They want to know what financial quarter the cash will start flowing from game sales.

We are more likely to hear an estimate on release date during that call than we are a beta start date.

There's thousands of reasons why they would want to announce beta at a conference call. Hell, they've given beta information before. I don't want to get into this again .. so I won't but you should really think about it. No offense.
