I really hope they give many thousands of beta keys to the Starcraft fan sites before they randomly give them out to the 12 million WoW players who clicked the "include me in future betas" button when they created their mandatory Battle.Net accounts.

He didn't say anything about whether or not Blizzard wants their input, he merely pointed out that many people who are not big
fans of SC1 received beta keys because they attended Blizzcon, while many die-hard SC1 fans will not.

Of course, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that because Blizzard definitely does need input from people who are not
die-hard fans; however, I don't think that was Sandwich_Bird's point

I wouldn't be surprised if most of those WoW guys either forgot about or even threw away those keys. And then of course, there are the enterprising few who would collect as many as possible and sell them to pay off their bills.

Has SC:Legacy received any of the beta keys they were supposed to get from Blizzard? As part of the fansite program + and to give away to the faithful aprils fools respondees?

SCbeta keys could start appearing on Ebay/Craigslist when the beta is announced and keys are handed out. Diehard fans without the means have an option there, if they're really diehard.

And of course, there will be alternatives. There always are.

Just to let you know, those two posts do talk about beta, but nothing groundbreaking. It doesn't even talk about release dates, actually.
